The Other Life tells the story of Annie, a woman who’s faced with a seemingly impossible choice. After losing her first husband, Chris, in a tragic accident, Annie rebuilds her life, marries Sean, and has another child, Maggie. Decades later, a skiing accident sends her into an altered state where past and present collide.

In this surreal space, Annie revisits her memories. When she lingers in a moment with Chris from before his death, her yearning for him is so strong she stays in the past. She believes she now faces a devastating choice: if she prevents Chris’s terrible accident, she will never meet Sean, and Maggie will never exist. Either that, or perhaps she is like her mother and sliding into schizophrenia. Torn between the love for her first family and the future she knows with her second, Annie must decide which life to live. As time runs out, she’s haunted by vivid dreams of losing Maggie, now a young woman, forcing her to confront the heartbreaking truth: whichever choice she makes, she will lose someone she loves.
